NTFLxNTNEWS

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) and the NT News have come together for a third season in a partnership to live-stream both Men’s and Women’s Premier League games for the 2022/23 TIO NTFL season.

The partnership, which will see live streaming of all Men’s Premier Leagues games and one Women’s Premier League game per round, is in place for the entire home and away season, as well as the first two weeks of the finals series.

Head of AFLNT Sam Gibson said after the success of the partnership across the past two seasons, he is excited by the opportunity to continue to drive exposure of the competition.

“Last season we saw great benefit and significant engagement with the TIO NTFL season through our partnership with the NT News.  Being the second year of the partnership, we saw natural progression in what we were able to offer to our stakeholder groups and this led to significant increases in viewership and interest throughout the year.  We’re really pleased to be extending our broadcast relationship with NT News for the 22/23 TIO NTFL Season and see this as a key component of the continued development of the competition.”

“Across last season there were over 175,000 match streams through the NT News platform which represents around a 30% increase in viewership on the previous season.  This is great for the competition and shows how much interest there is in the TIO NTFL both locally and across the country. Our ongoing partnership is an opportunity for not only NT News subscribers to gain exclusive access to fantastic games, but it also showcases the premier TIO NTFL product to a national audience via the reach of the NT News.”

NT News Editor Denise Cahill said the News Corp team was excited to partner with AFLNT for a third season.

"This season will be even more action-packed because we'll be live streaming a women's match, as well as the four men's games, each week," Cahill said.

"Top End footy players put on a great show week in, week out and the NT News can't wait to showcase the talent to fans, families and friends across Australia - and the world - every weekend of the season."

Those without an NT News subscription will have access to Men's Premier League games with the games then posted to the AFLNTv YouTube channel for public viewing 48 hours after their scheduled start time.

AFLNT is also delighted to confirm the continued support from National Indigenous Television (NITV) who have committed to broadcasting 1 x Under 18 Boys and Under 18’s Girls fixtured match each week, these streams will also be available to watch live on the AFLNTv YouTube channel

AFLNT's long-term broadcast partner, ABC Radio Darwin will call one Women’s Premier League Saturday game from TIO Stadium each round. Fans can tune in live via ABC Digital Radio and First Nations Radio.

And for a second season, SEN will call one Men’s Premier League game from TIO Stadium each round. Fans can tune in live via the SEN 1116 Top End and CAAMA Radio.
