AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) and the TIO Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) is excited to unveil the 2024/25 TIO NTFL Premier League fixture, setting the stage for an action-packed season of Top End Football.
The 2024/25 season kicks off with a bang at TIO Stadium, featuring a blockbuster Round 1 as part of TIO Round, with the Men’s Premier League grand final rematch between St Mary’s and Nightcliff Tigers under Friday night lights. The excitement continues with a Super Saturday triple header, concluding with a heavyweight clash between Waratah and Southern Districts.
Round 3 will see a highly anticipated TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League grand final rematch between PINT and St Mary’s. This clash promises to be another standout match-up of the season.
Building on the success of the previous season, the 2024/25 TIO NTFL season will see more Friday night games across multiple venues, allowing fans to enjoy the excitement of footy under lights. Sunday afternoon fixtures will also continue, providing additional opportunities to catch all the action.
Each Premier League club with a home ground will again enjoy six home games throughout the season. This format ensures that local fans can rally behind their teams on familiar turf.
With a remarkable 60% growth in the competition over the past three seasons, the 2024/25 TIO NTFL season not only underscores the increasing popularity and competitiveness of the league, but also highlights its significant impact on the wider community.
The 2024 NAB AFLW Dreamtime Match will be a standout event this season, taking place at TIO Stadium in conjunction with Round 4 TIO NTFL matches. This historic clash will bring together the best of AFLW and NTFL football in a celebration of Territory football.
Following the Christmas break, footy fans can look forward to a weekend of intense footy action with double headers on both Saturday and Sunday evenings, all at TIO Stadium.
The 2024/25 Premier League Finals Series will commence the week of Friday, February 21, with all finals matches hosted at TIO Stadium, the home of Territory footy. The season will culminate with the Premier League Grand Final on Saturday, March 15, 2025, where the seasons’ top teams will battle it out for the silverware.
