2021/22 TIO NTFL MRP Round 2

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel (MRP) has reviewed all matches played in Round 2 of the 2021/22 TIO NTFL season, and the following charges have been laid:

Men’s Premier League

Harley Puruntatameri of Tiwi Bombers Football Club has been charged with striking #2 of Palmerston Magpies Football Club in the third quarter of the NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Palmerston and Tiwi at Cazalys Arena in Palmerston on Saturday 9 October 2021.

Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the MRP that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, Puruntatameri can accept a one-match penalty with an early guilty plea.

Bradley Stokes of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club has been charged with rough conduct against #36 of Southern Districts Football Club in the second quarter of the NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Darwin Buffaloes and Southern Districts at Cazalys Arena in Palmerston on Sunday 10 October 2021.

Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the MRP that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, high impact and high contact, resulting in a four-match penalty.

In summary, Stokes can accept a three-match penalty with an early guilty plea.

Darwin Buffaloes Football Club and Southern Districts Football Club have been charged with engaging in a melee in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL match between Darwin Buffaloes and Southern Districts at Cazalys Arena in Palmerston on Sunday 10 October 2021.

In summary, both sides can accept a fine with an early guilty plea.
