The Cazalys NT Talent Academy are holding open trials for the inaugural Emerging Talent Program in Darwin at TIO Stadium.
Select players from the open trials will be invited to a 10-week Emerging Talent Program designed to enhance the fundamentals for the game, an introduction to game sense training and education on NT Talent Academy values.
This opportunity will also junior footy players to establish themselves into the Cazalys NT Academy and participate in similar experiences to those in the NT's Under 16's and Under 18's Academy.
The Open Trials will be held on:
Monday 24th June - U13 Boys & Girls (Born 2011)
Wednesday 26th June - U14 Boys & Girls (Born 2010)
Thursday 27th June - U15 Boys & Girls (Born 2009)

Will trials take place outside of Darwin?
Currently, the trials will only take place in Darwin at TIO Stadium. The Emerging Talent Program may look to expand to other locations in the Northern Territory after the first year.
Is there a cost to register?
There is no cost to register or participate in the program.
What will I need to bring to each session?
Other then a can-do attitude, we recommend each participant bring a water bottle (however, water will be provided), footy boots, runners, a towel (if necessary), and a hat.
What times will the open trials take place?
Each of the open trials will take place at the following times:
Monday 24th June - U13 Boys & Girls (Born 2011)
Sign on for Girls trials will be 10am to 10.30am, trial starts at 10.30am to 1.00pm
Sign on for Boys trials will be 1.00pm to 1.30pm, trail starts at 1.30pm to 4.00pm
Wednesday 26th June - U14 Boys & Girls (Born 2010)

How are the limited spots chosen? Is the first __ people to register, or is it a selection process?
It is a first in best dressed system for the limited spots. We do encourage all those willing to participate please note the sign on times above and schedule your arrival.
What time and day(s) will be used for the 10-week program?
The time and days that each session will take place on are the following:
U15 Boys and Girls from 18th July to 19th September, training once a week on a Thursday during this period, time TBC however will be evening.
U14 and U13 Boys and Girls from 24th July to 18th September, training once a week on a Wednesday during this period, time TBC however will be evening.

Is this an Auskick-like program?
Whilst this is an opportunity for younger players to learn and develop new skills, this is not an Auskick-like program. We do encourage all players to register and participate, however, this may be more tailored for those who would like to develop for the higher divisions of the NTFL and/or for those wanting to take steps towards the AFL and AFLW.
Will travel be required?
No, all participants will not be travelling outside Darwin. All sessions will take place at TIO Stadium unless moved as mentioned above.
