Southern Districts face PINT in a mouth-watering elimination final contest at 4:15PM tomorrow at TIO Stadium.

The pressure will be on the Crocs – a team consider by many as the premiership favourites for large parts of the season. But after last week’s bye and Waratah’s upset win over Nightcliff, the Crocs have slipped to fourth and will be sent packing if they are unable to get over the Greenants tomorrow.

PINT rested around half a dozen players in last weekend’s big win against Palmerston but are likely to be full guns blazing tomorrow. Lionhearted ruckman Connor McDonald has been sensational all season while ex-AFL midfielders Luke Partington and Lochie O’Brien are good enough to match it with anyone on the field.

Defensive midfielder Sam Kalbfell complements the rest of the on-ball brigade while former Chaney Medal winner Liam Holt-Fitz is back in form after a strong game last week against Palmerston.

The Crocs will be led by former AFL player Jed Anderson, who capped off an excellent season by taking out the club’s best-and-fairest award last weekend. Spearhead Jarrod Brander will hope for a big performance after being held goalless a fortnight ago in the loss against Nightcliff, while Nakia Cockatoo and the much-improved Beau Schwarze had strong games.

The Crocs have the winning form over the Greenants having posted two wins already this season. It was a 109-point win in Round 4, but a much closer encounter in Round 14, which saw the Districts victorious by just the seven points.

With a full-strength PINT matching up well against the Crocs, it should a riveting contest.
