After consultation and nominations from TIO NTFL Clubs and NTFL Representative coaching staff, the Men’s and Women’s Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) squads have been selected.
Held during the bye round of the NTFL Season, the matches proudly supported by Cazalys Palmerston Club mark the third-time representative footy has been played in the Territory in recent times and is an exciting opportunity to inspire younger players to get involved. Since its resurgence in 2020, both the NTFL Men’s and Women’s representative sides have remained undefeated.
Announced earlier in the month, this year’s Men’s opponent will be South Fremantle Football Club, from the Western Australian Football League (WAFL).
The Men’s Selection Committee comprises of Chairperson Mark Motlop, Head Coach Anthony Vallejo and AFLNT Talent Manager Simon Hargrave.
The Women’s representative opponent for 2023 will be the reigning premiers of the WAFL Women's competition the Claremont Tigers.
Chairperson Grey Morris, and Head Coach Melinda Taylor along with AFLNT Talent Manager Simon Hargrave were tasked with selecting the Women’s squad.
The lists announced today are fluid and open to change depending on several factors from availability, injury, and form. The final team will be selected in the week leading up to the game.
