Waratah, PINT, and reigning premier Darwin Buffettes continued their dominant Women's Premier League seasons with big wins against sides below them.

Round 6 of the TIO NTFL WPL campaign became a big scoring weekend where the top sides kicked 43 goals between them to only two against in another reminder of their class.

Waratahs' 95-point win over the Tiwi Bombers was a little surprising given the good recent form of the Bombers' women, who had won two of their five games coming into the 4 pm game at Gardens Oval.

But the unbeaten and top-of-the-ladder Tahs kept them scoreless after quarter time and followed all the rules of Australian football by running in numbers, proving targets for players with the football, and chasing down opponents in possession.

As a result, Tahs had five multiple goalkickers, Annabel Kievit's five majors the best return in a 15.11 (101) to 1.0 (6) win.

Isobel Hartog across half-back, captain Lisa Roberts in her customary utility role around the ground, and Jordan Mifsud were the pick of a Waratah side that won its sixth game in a row as they pursue premiership No.9.

The Darwin Buffettes were in total control during their 82-point win over the Palmerston Magpies at TIO Stadium.

Gwynne medallist Molly Althouse was supreme in the ruck and up forward, forward Crystal Browne (3 goals) and Elisa Niki (4) made the most of opportunities coming their way by booting seven majors between them and Carla Khasakhala in her league debut found a lot of the football.

PINT lifted their percentage to a whopping 1155 percent after keeping enthusiastic but outclassed Wanderers scoreless in the Queenants' 99-point win at Marrara Cricket Ground.

Steph Lawrence helped herself to six goals against the under-siege Wanderers defence, second-year player Jahla Hunt was very good with her delivery by hand and foot out of the middle and Anna Traill kicked three goals from center half-forward.

The Queenants opened and closed their game with a six-goal to-nil first term and repeated the dose in the last quarter when they were entitled to cruise home with a 59-point lead by the last change.

Last season's grand finalists Nightcliff kept opponents Southern Districts to one goal in the Tigers' 62-point win at Fred's Pass.

The Tiger women prowled the wide expanses of Norbuilt Oval like they owned it by booting 9.14 (68) to 1.0 (6) in a much-needed win that lifted them to the fourth position on the WPL ladder.

Cassie McWilliam (4 goals) and the highly rated Mickayla Ward (3) were big forward targets as Nightcliff joined a traffic jam of four sides that have won two games in the 2022-23 campaign to date.
