Jalen Clarke, of the Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 10 from the Palmerston Magpies Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between the Palmerston Magpies and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Friday 31 January 2020.

Based on the umpire's report and evidence available, it was the view of the Panel that the incident should be classified as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a one-match penalty.

In summary, Clarke can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Alwyn Davey, of the Palmerston Magpies Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 28 from the Darwin Buffaloes Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between the Palmerston Magpies and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Friday 31 January 2020.

In summary, Davey can accept a one-match penalty for an early guilty plea.

Darren Shillabeer, of the Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 3 from the Palmerston Magpies Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between the Palmerston Magpies and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Friday 31 January 2020.

Based on the umpire's report and the evidence available, it was the view of the Panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, Shillabeer can accept a one-match penalty for an early guilty plea.

Men’s Division 2

William May, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language towards another person in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 2 match between Banks Football Club and St Mary’s Football Club at TIO Oval No 2 on Saturday 1 February 2020.

Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the Panel that the language May is alleged to have used is in-line with the Auditory Offences matrix (Appendix 9) that is part of the AFLNT Rules and Regulations (2019-2020 edition) and should be classified as low, meaning the comment could be heard less than 10 metres away, while the conduct was rated as abusive/obscene. This has resulted in a two-match penalty.

In summary, May can accept a one-match penalty for an early guilty plea.

The clubs/players via the club's tribunal advocate has until 9:00pm tonight (Tuesday) to accept the early plea or lodge an appeal to have the matter heard by an independent Tribunal.

*UPDATED Wednesday 5 February*

The Tribunal will not sit for the senior divisions after all players pleaded guilty and accepted their early penalties.
