2020/21 TIO NTFL MRP – Round 9

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel (MRP) has reviewed all matches played in Round 9 of the 2020/21 TIO NTFL season, and the following charges have been laid:

Men’s Premier League

Jack Landt of St Mary’s Football Club has been charged with making forceful front-on contact in the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts Football Club and St Mary’s at Norbuilt Oval on Saturday 28 November 2020.

Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the MRP that the incident should be classified as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, Landt can accept a one-match penalty with an early guilty plea.

Ed Barlow of Southern Districts Football Club has been charged with striking player number 39 from St Mary’s Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and St Mary’s at Norbuilt Oval on Saturday 28 November 2020.

Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the MRP that the incident should be classified as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a one-match penalty.

In summary, Barlow can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Women’s Premier League

Clessae De Satge of Wanderers Football Club has been charged with striking in the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League match between Waratah Football Club and Wanderers  at Gardens Oval on Saturday 28 November 2020.

Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the MRP that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, De Satge can accept a one-match penalty with an early guilty plea.

Jenna Singh of Waratah Football Club has been charged with striking player number 5 from Wanderers Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League match between Waratah and Wanderers at Gardens Oval on Saturday 28 November 2020.

Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the MRP that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, Singh can accept a one-match penalty with an early guilty plea.

*UPDATED Wednesday 2 December morning*

The tribunal will not sit after all players accepted the early guilty plea option.
