AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel (MRP) has reviewed all matches played in Round 8 of the 2019/20 TIO NTFL season and no charges have been laid across the senior divisions.
Furthermore, no incidents were reported by umpires or referred to the MRP for senior games in Round 8.
The MRP did assess an incident referred from Round 7 received before the two-business days’ complaint deadline, which had the following outcome.
Men’s Division 2
Nigel Sibson, of Tracy Village Football Club, has been charged with wrestling in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Palmerston Football Club and Tracy Village at Palmerston Oval on Sunday 17 November 2019.
Based on video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as a low-level offence and result in a one-match penalty.
In summary, Sibson can accept a reprimand as an early plea penalty.

The Tribunal will not sit after the player accepted the early penalty.
