AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 5 of the 2019/20 TIO NTFL season, and the following charge has been laid in the senior divisions:
Men’s Premier League
Thomas Arundell, of Waratah Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 19 from the Nightcliff Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Waratah and Nightcliff at Gardens Oval on Sunday 3 November 2019.
Based on the umpire's report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
In summary, Arundell can accept a one-match penalty as an early plea penalty.
Arundell has already indicated that he will accept the early plea and will miss one-match.
