TIO NTFL Match Review Panel: Round 4

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 4 of the 2019/20 TIO NTFL season, and the following charge has been laid in the senior divisions:
 
Men’s Premier League

Jordan Briston, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct on player number 8 from the St Mary’s Football Club in the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between St Mary’s and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Saturday 26 October 2019.
 
Based on the umpire's report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, Briston can accept a one-match penalty as an early plea penalty.
 
Shaun Ah Mat, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct on player number 27 from the St Mary’s Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between St Mary’s and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Saturday 26 October 2019.
 
Based on the umpire's report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, Ah Mat can accept a one-match penalty as an early plea penalty.

Division 1

Aiden McAdam, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 20 from PINT Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between PINT and Darwin Buffaloes at the Marrara Cricket Ground on Saturday 26 October 2019.
 
Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, McAdam can accept a one-match penalty as an early plea penalty.

Division 2

Damien Seubert, of University Football Club, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct on player number 4 from Banks Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 2 match between Banks and University at TIO Oval 2 on Friday 25 October 2019.
 
Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless conduct, low impact and contact to the body, resulting in a one-match penalty.
 
In summary, Seubert can accept a reprimand as an early plea penalty.
 
Anthony Gardiner, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 15 from Wanderers Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 2 match between St Mary’s and Wanderers at Gardens Oval on Sunday 27 October 2019.
 
Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, high impact and high contact, resulting in a four-match penalty.
 
In summary, Gardiner can accept a three-match penalty as an early plea penalty.
