Measures taken for forecast heatwave in Katherine this weekend

Heatwave in Katherine

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) advises it has taken proactive steps to prepare for this weekend's expected heatwave in Katherine.

The National Heat Policy will be implemented for games at Katherine Oval and AFLNT is sourcing fans that will be available to clubs on the interchange along with extending breaks and adjusting quarter lengths to the Under 18 Girls, Boys and Women’s Premier League.

We encourage all clubs, volunteers, players, umpires and spectators to ensure they drink plenty of water, seek shade as much as possible and apply sunscreen regularly across the entire weekend.
