School Sport NT (SSNT) and AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) are pleased to announce the 2018 boys and girls School Sport NT Under 15 squads.
After participating in a three-day School Sport NT Development Camp involving round robin matches and fitness testing a final squad was then announced at the end of the respective girls and boys camps.
From each camp, the selected under 15 boys and girls squad will represent SSNT in late July for the 2018 School Sport Australia National Championship being hosted in Adelaide, SA.
AFLNT Manager of Club and Game Development, Emily Wastle, was really pleased with how the Development Camps went.
“We had approximately 240 players and 40 umpires participate across the three camps, with regions playing round robin game to showcase their talent for selection.
“It was a big couple of days, but overall the players really seemed to enjoy themselves and got a good taste for footy at the next level.
“A big thank you must go to all the team officials and the regional School Sport NT coordinators, who did a fantastic job in preparing the students and getting them to Darwin for the camps.
“Thank you also to Taylah from School Sport NT for all her work pulling together event, from travel through to accommodation and ensuring a successful camp for all involved,” Wastle said.
