Kicking off the TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League finals is a scintillating elimination final clash between Waratah and the Darwin Buffettes at 12:15PM at TIO Stadium.

The Buffettes will go in confident after snapping an eight-game losing streak with a win over Waratah a fortnight ago. Liz Watkins, Machaelia Roberts and Leashay Warburton were excellent in the 26-point victory and will need to bring their best again tomorrow.

Waratah are coming off three losses in a row but remain a very formidable team at their best.

Expect a much different looking team for Waratah since the last time these two teams met. Among the inclusions is Steph O’Brien, who is arguably one of the best footballers in the competition.

Aggie Singh has been named despite missing most of the post-Christmas period through injury. Before Round 12, the livewire forward had kicked 21 goals from ten games and has been named in her club’s best players on seven occasions.

With all their inclusions, Waratah enter this match as the favourites, but the Buffettes have the recent wining form and certainly have a strong enough list to get the job done if they can play the game on their terms.

Tune into NT News / Kommunity TV to watch all the action live tomorrow afternoon from 12:15PM ACST.
