NTFL Match Review Panel: Week Two Finals

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Finals Week Two of the 2017/18 TIO NTFL Season.


 
The following charges have been laid in the senior divisions: 

 

MEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE
 
Ignatius Vallejo, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct on player number 1 of the Nightcliff Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Nightcliff and St Mary’s at TIO Stadium on Saturday 3 March 2018.
 
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact and should result in a one-match suspension.


 
In summary, Vallejo can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.


Peter MacFarlane, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with kneeing player number 14 of the Nightcliff Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Nightcliff and St Mary’s at TIO Stadium on Saturday 3 March 2018.
 
Based on the video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact and should result in a one-match suspension.


 
In summary, MacFarlane can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.


Ed Barlow, of Southern Districts Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 15 of the Darwin Buffaloes Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Saturday 3 March 2018.
 
Based on the video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact and should result in a one-match suspension.


 
In summary, Barlow can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.
