Teams are in – Waratah vs CAFL Representative Match

The final team lists have been announced ahead of this weekend's historic Waratah vs CAFL Representative game.

Head Coach Matthew Campbell’s men’s side features an impressive spread of skilled players from across the Central Australian town teams while Ryan Ayers side has a worthy mix of both experienced and young and upcoming stars.

When asked earlier in the week about the opportunity to play and coach for the CAFL representative side, Matt Campbell shared what an honour to put on the guernsey on and showcase their best talent.

"We've picked the side from blokes who want to play footy for the love of their town and the game itself, they're the players we want to reward and I'm sure they'll play their hearts out.'' Campbell said.

Head coach of Waratah Ryan Ayres spoke to his sides key strengths, “We’ve got a competitive side out on the ground with premiership captain Brodie Carroll, midfielder Edward Morris, utility Tom Cree and defenders James Arratta and Joel Crocker remaining from the grand final side.”

He spoke of the addition of talent from their Under 18 winning premiership side "Timmy Kerinaiua and Dwayne Kerinaiua were superstars in the 18s grand final win over St Mary's and will definitely play for us.
