TIO NTFL Tribunal: Round 7 

AFLNT advises the independent Tribunal sat tonight to hear two charges from Round 7 of the 2020/21 TIO NTFL senior games.
 
Men’s Division Two
 
Allan May, coach of St Mary’s Football Club appeared before the tribunal to answer the charge of misconduct/serious misconduct at the three-quarter time break of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 2 match against Waratah on Saturday 14 November 2020.
 
Upon review of the evidence, the Tribunal asserted May’s conduct constituted misconduct to which May pleaded guilty.
 
The Tribunal issued May with a two-match suspension, with one week wholly suspended.
 
Men’s Premier League
 
Eric Guthrie of Palmerston Magpies appeared before the Tribunal to answer the charge of striking player number 1 from Nightcliff Football Club in the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match on Saturday 14 November 2020.
 
Upon review of the evidence, the Tribunal accepted an amended classification of careless conduct, low impact and high contact (previously medium impact).
 
The amended charge resulted in a one-match penalty or a reprimand with an early plea. Guthrie was able to enter an early plea given the change of charge. Guthrie pleaded guilty and received a reprimand.
