TIO NTFL Match Review Panel: Round 15

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 15 of the 2018/19 TIO NTFL season and the following charges have been laid in the senior divisions:

Men’s Premier League

Matt Campbell, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against player number 3 of the St Mary’s Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between St Mary’s and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Friday 25 January 2019.

Based on the video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

Due to Campbell's existing bad record (the Player has received a reprimand in the past 12 months) his final penalty was increased to three-matches but he can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.

Dionysuis Munkara, of Tiwi Bombers Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 19 of the Nightcliff Football Club at the end of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Nightcliff and Tiwi Bombers at PSC BM Oval on Sunday 27 January 2019.

Based on the video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

Due to Munkara’s existing bad record (the Player has been suspended for a total of two or more matches in the past 24 months… for any Classifiable Offence) his final penalty was increased to three-matches but he can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.

Men’s Division 1
