TIO NTFL Match Review Panel 
Full statement: 2018/19 TIO NTFL season 

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 13 of the 2018/19 TIO NTFL season and the following charges have been laid in the senior divisions: 

Men’s Premier League

Benjamin Rioli, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with tripping player number 23 of the Nightcliff Football Club in the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between St Mary’s and Nightcliff at TIO Stadium on Saturday 12 January 2019.

Based on the video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact, resulting in a one-match penalty.

Due to an active reprimand still against his name (within 12 months) the penalty has been increased to two-matches. 

In summary, Rioli can accept a one-match as an early guilty plea.

Men’s Division 1

Nick Eades, of Nightcliff Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 3 of the PINT Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Nightcliff and PINT at TIO Oval 2 on Saturday 12 January 2019.

Based on the umpire’s report it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a three-match penalty.

In summary, Eades can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.

Men’s Division 2

Sam Lewis, of Banks Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 31 of the Southern Districts Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 2 match between Southern Districts and Banks at TIO Oval 2 on Saturday 12 January 2019.

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, Lewis can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea. 

All clubs have until 9pm ACST Tuesday to indicate whether the charged players accept the imposed sanctions or they wish to challenge at Tribunal.
