This weekend marks the first anniversary of when Tai Martin Page suffered his spinal injury in the Men’s Premier League. Members from AFLNT and the Darwin Buffaloes have kept in regular contact with Tai and his family.
Back on Saturday the 6th of January 2018, the NT footy community was rocked by an on-field injury to the Darwin Buffaloes forward.
Inspirationally, Tai returned to the NT for the 2017/18 Grand Final to watch his beloved Darwin Buffaloes. Watch the video of his return here.
Tai is currently in hospital in Adelaide, recovering from nerve tendon surgery he had on his hands in mid-November. He hopes to finally go home in February, with his mum Bridgit telling us some big renovations to the house are now underway.
In true Tai spirit he’s back playing sport, this time wheelchair rugby, and before undergoing his latest surgery he did what many wouldn’t even dream of...and jumped out of a plane!
