AFLNT is pleased to have CAAMA Radio on board as the primary broadcaster of the 2018 TIO Central Australian Football League (CAFL) games.

The league kicks off this weekend with the first broadcast coverage beginning at 2.30pm ACST for the 3.00pm game between Rovers and Federals, and will follow with weekly broadcasts including:

•    Round 2 – Saturday 28 April – Federal vs Souths at 2.00pm

•    Round 4 – Sunday 13 May – Ltyentye Apurte vs Western Aranda

The CAAMA commentary line up will consist of experienced football callers Sheralee Taylor, Joe Clarke and Patrick Ah Kit.

Gilmore Johnston, Station Manager of CAAMA said the national broadcasts would be more accessible than ever.

“Not only do we broadcast nationally on radio, but we have the CAAMA app and people can also stream from our website.

“We are continuing to honour our role in the community by promoting Australian Rules Football which we have done for over 20 years,” he said.

AFLNT Central Australia Football Operations Manager Simon Hargrave said it was great to have CAAMA find a permanent home at TIO Traeger Park.

“We are pleased to have CAAMA’s continued support and hear our games broadcast on radio this season.

“The broadcast will take CAFL games into people’s homes, cars and workplaces when they are unable to get to the games,” Hargrave said.

The 2018 TIO CAFL competition will also see a full day of football in Round 2 with the Under 18 NT Thunder Academy vs Sydney Swans Academy following the Federal vs Souths game and finishing with Round 4 NEAFL action when NT Thunder take on Redland at 7.30pm.
