AFL Northern Territory is proud to announce four local umpires have been selected for the 2018 AFL Women’s League Umpiring Panel.

All three umpiring disciplines are represented in the four selections with Jameson Galbraith  -field, Jasper and Merlene Hutt  - boundary, and Shaun Ostler - goal.

AFLNT Umpiring Manager, Mark Noonan said, ‘I am very proud of the local umpire’s achievements and am looking forward to watching their development in the future.’

‘It’s great to see four up and coming umpires on the national stage being given the opportunity to umpire around the country. All four of them are experienced NTFL Premier League umpires and have been appointed a Premier League Grand Final in recent seasons.’

‘These four will hopefully inspire other up and coming umpires to follow in their footsteps,’ Noonan said.

Former Territorians Sian Atkins (VIC goal) & Ben Russell (NSW boundary) have also made it onto the AFLW 2018 umpiring panel and will join the four Northern Territory based umpires in the upcoming AFLW season.
