MEDIA RELEASE FROM AFL NORTHERN TERRITORY

Joel Bowden appointed interim General Manager of NT Thunder.

Richmond Tigers champion and current AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) Stakeholder Engagement Manager has been appointed General Manager of the Northern Territory Football Club (NT Thunder) on an interim basis.
The appointment of Bowden as interim General Manager will ensure that the club is exceptionally well prepared for its 2015 NEAFL campaign whilst also allowing AFLNT to continue its extensive recruitment process to ensure a new manager is in place in the coming months.
NT Thunder Chairman Lincoln Jenkin views the appointment of Joel Bowden on an interim basis as the ideal way to prepare the club for its next phase.
"Joel Bowden has been doing an excellent job as AFLNT Stakeholder Engagement Manager and has a sound understanding of NT Thunder and the clubs aims, objectives and philosophies,” Jenkin said.
“As a Territorian himself Joel knows what the Thunder means to the Territory and his football CV coupled with his professional expertise and qualifications including a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Education, leaves him well placed to do an excellent job as interim General Manager".
