"We are excited about the prospect of bring AFL matches to Alice Springs and in the pre-season game the public voted with their feet, with just under 5,500 attending the NAB Challenge and we are expecting an even larger turn out for the match in May," said AFLNT CEO Tony Frawley.

Round 16 will see the return of last years Grand Finalists Fremantle as they take on the Demons in the Darwin leg of their two game series in the Top End.

"It is fantastic that we have been able to secure the Dockers for the game in Darwin. The quality and calibre of football they play is something new for Darwin and with the new brand coming we think it is something the Top End public will enjoy," said Frawley.
