NTFL BELTS UP FOR FINAL SERIES

NTFL BELTS UP FOR FINAL SERIES

The 2012-13 TIO ‘Seatbelts Save Lives’ Finals Series kicks off on Saturday afternoon at TIO Stadium.

AFL Northern Territory General Manager of Community Football Anthony Venes believes this year’s finals series has the potential to see some new premiership winners across all grades.

"The evenness of all competitions throughout the minor rounds has been fantastic and each of the top five sides has a great chance of winning the premiership," said Mr Venes,

"I think we are going to witness something special in the Premier League Finals Series as all five sides have what it takes to clinch the top prize in Territory sport, the TIO NTFL Premiership,"

Mr Venes added that there was a good spread of clubs being represented across all grades in the finals series.

"The finals will see every club represented across all grades which is fantastic to see and a great testament to the work the clubs are doing off the field."

Another exciting element to the TIO NTFL Finals Series will be that every Premier League Finals Match will be broadcasted LIVE either via ABC TV on ABC1, via

"We have had tremendous support from ABC over a number of years, and with the coming of the digital age they have been fantastic in their ability to facilitate traditional TV and Radio Broadcasts, coupled with the Online Streaming of NTFL matches. This has created unprecedented access to the NTFL like never before," advised Venes.

The NTFL Finals Series is once again well supported and sponsored by AFLNT Premier Partner TIO through the ‘Seatbelts Save Lives’ message. TIO General Manager Insurance, Michael Hoare, says the promotion of the message throughout the finals series is crucial to road safety measures across the Territory.

TIO’s NTFL Finals Series sponsorship is about highlighting seatbelt safety. In the last 10 years over 500 people lost their lives on Northern Territory roads and over 51% of those people may have still been with us today if they had been wearing their seatbelt," said Mr Hoare.
"We want footy fans to hear the message loud and clear: seatbelts do save lives".
