NTIS AFL Coach to nurture talent for four more seasons

NTIS High Performance Coach Brett Hand has re-signed to the program for another four year term. Shoring up the development of the Territory's finest AFL prospects.

AFLNT in partnership with the Northern Territory Institute of Sport is pleased to announce that Brett Hand has been appointed the High Performance Coach of the NTIS AFL program for a 4 year term.

Brett will oversee the development of the Territories most promising AFL prospects within the NTIS program as well as coach the U18’s State Academy squad & oversee the development of the U16’s State Academy squad & AFLNT Development squads.

The role will primarily be focussed on developing players to AFL standard with these players able to play for the NT Thunder U16’s & U18’s teams as well as hopefully graduating to the NT Thunder senior team that plays in the QAFL competition.

This season, four players from the NTIS AFL program debuted with the Thunder in the QAFL, Deon Gordon, Scott Taylor, Jack McEwin and James Wray. With Deon Gordon also earning a QAFL Rising Star nomination for his performances in the senior team.
