Where can I buy tickets?

There are only four ways that people can purchase tickets to the Sir Doug Nicholls Round (Round 13) Toyota AFL premiership season games in Darwin:

  1. Tickets for general public, club and NTFL members will be available online via www.NTIX.com.au. See below for the release times. You will require an email address, phone number and a valid payment method to complete your purchase. Note: No other website is an authorised ticket seller.

  2. Corporate hospitality options (see below for the packages) for both games already have waiting lists. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list, please email AFLNT@afl.com.au. It is strongly encouraged that you buy a standard ticket if you wish to attend either game.

  3. For people who are unable to get online to buy tickets, there will be a very limited number of general admission tickets available for purchase at the Ah Mat gate at TIO Stadium from 1pm on Thursday (Gold Coast SUNS vs Carlton) and 1pm Friday (Essendon vs Richmond) release. Tickets will be issued on a first in basis and you must have a valid form of ID to buy tickets from us.  We recommend that if you can get online that you do so to avoid disappointment.

  4. People in Top End remote communities will also have access to purchase tickets from AFLNT. See below for how to do that.

When can I buy tickets?

The Gold Coast SUNS vs Carlton game has reached capacity (reduced due to COVID-19). We will advise everyone if other opportunities come up; so stay tuned to our social pages and our website.

The Dreamtime in Darwin game between Essendon and Richmond has reached capacity (reduced due to COVID-19). We will advise everyone if other opportunities come up; so stay tuned to our social pages and our website.

What tickets are available for purchase via NTix?

There are two types of tickets available to the general public:

    1. Grandstand - situated in the Maurice Rioli stand on the western side of the ground
    2. General Admission - situated in the grassed area on the eastern side of the ground

If you are a club member then you will have access to your club's allocation of tickets, either in the grandstand or general admission areas.

Due to COVID restrictions at TIO Stadium, grandstand seating configuration has been pre-arranged and will be strictly enforced. Any issues with seating configurations and ticket availability must be raised directly with NTix.

      How much do tickets cost?

      General Admission
      Adult: $25.00
      Concession: $15.00
      Junior (6-14): $5.00
Infant: Free, ticket required for entry

How does the NTix system work?

At exactly the time the tickets are available people are able to access the website where they will be queued for transaction in the order that they arrived. There is no benefit to hitting the website before the set time of release as it only starts the queue from the right time.

Due to COVID-19, the seating configuration at TIO Stadium has been set with different combinations so your best attempt is to try different combinations of tickets if your original request does not work.

NTix is using a new system in 2020.

What time do the gates open?

All TIO Stadium gates will be opened at 5:30pm for both games; there will be special Sir Doug Nicholls Round entertainment and ceremonies; which will be detailed closer to the events.

Why do the Gold Coast SUNS have more membership tickets than other clubs? Can I become a SUNS member?

The Gold Coast SUNS are the Northern Territory's and AFLNT’s official club assigned to the Darwin region for the next four years. The SUNS have a commitment to not only play a home game in Darwin each year until 2023 but have also been partnering with us to develop talent, football and community programs.

They have shown a strong commitment to the region already and are recognised as our official club.

Yes, you can sign-up to become a Gold Coast SUNS member; visit https://am.ticketmaster.com/goldcoastfc/#/ and look for the Territory SUN option.

Will tickets be available for purchase at the gate on game day?

This is a pre-sale event ONLY, there will be no tickets for sale at the gate.

ALL patrons are encouraged to book online through www.NTix.com.au – this requires an email address, phone number and a payment method.  This is the easiest way to reserve a seat.

              What payment methods are accepted?

Via the NTIx website - online payment methods via VISA, Mastercard and American Express.

Walk-up tickets at the Ah Mat Gate (extremely limited) - can be paid for via credit/debit card, cash and BasicsCard.

What is the capacity for the game?

In accordance with the NT's Chief Health Officer signing off on our COVID Event Plan, our capacity at TIO Stadium is 5,461 patrons for each game.

Is there a limit on how many tickets I can buy?

There is a maximum of six tickets you can purchase in any single transaction regardless of whether it is Grandstand or General Admission.

What is the TIO Stadium seating map?

What if I bought tickets through a reseller/unauthorised site?

We are sorry to hear you have purchased tickets via an unauthorised website. These websites are unofficial ticket resellers and the authenticity of your purchase cannot be verified by us. The only authorised ticketing agent for the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership season games in Darwin is www.NTix.com.au.

Other websites have no official connection or affiliation with AFL and have not been authorised or licenced by the AFL to utilise AFL Intellectual Property in the manner described. We have sent a cease and desist letter to these websites but we strongly advise you read the terms and conditions and contact the on-seller directly for a refund.

I live in a remote community; how can I get tickets

Due to COVID-19, tickets to the AFL games in Darwin are limited. There are two ways to book your tickets:

                      1. The best way to book a ticket is online through www.NTix.com.au - you will need an email address, phone number and a card payment method.  This is the easiest way to reserve a seat.
                      2. If you do not have an email address, phone number or you cannot pay electronically, phone AFLNT on 08 8980 4801 and quote your COMMUNITY CODE.

Fans living in the Top End remote communities should visit their local shops and look for the Sir Doug Nicholls Round posters.

Each poster has a unique COMMUNITY CODE which you will need to note down before calling us.

Due to COVID-19 requirements, all ticketing requires you to leave a name, address and phone number.

Once these tickets are sold, there will be no additional capacity. If you do not have a ticket to the game, we advise that you should not travel from your community as you will not be granted access to the ground.

What offers have been made to the community?

The AFL has a community ticketing program to provide access to members of the community to attend Dreamtime game at the MCG each year.

The AFL and AFLNT have worked together to provide ticketing to regional and remote Territorians representing more than 10% of the overall capacity of TIO Stadium under COVID-19 restrictions.  Tickets are provided to the competing clubs (Essendon/Richmond) as well as The Long Walk and Larrakia Nation. Additional tickets are also being offered to Top End remote communities.

What are the corporate package options for the games? Are there any left?

Both games already have long waiting lists for corporate hospitality packages. You are welcome to add your name to the list by emailing AFLNT@afl.com.au but we strongly recommend you purchase a standard ticket if you don't want to miss out.

What are your COVID-19 related policies?

Special terms and conditions (TIO Stadium COVID Event safety advice below) apply due to COVID restrictions – patrons are advised that NO tickets will be available for sale on the day and must be pre-purchased.

You acknowledge that, even with rigorous capacity and control measures in place at AFL matches, there remains an unquantifiable risk of transmission of viral illness including COVID-19 at an AFL match at this time and you have considered that risk and your own personal circumstances, including any health condition or vulnerability that you may have or that of persons whom you will be in close contact with following your attendance at an AFL match. You acknowledge that, for a small number of people, COVID-19 has very serious health consequences. By attending an AFL match, you (and any persons who attend the match with you) acknowledge and accept these obvious risks.

What if I feel unwell before the game?

Please get in contact with us via AFLNT@afl.com.au ASAP before the game, where we can arrange a refund.

Why is it important that I submit my details and know who I am buying tickets for/giving tickets to?

It is a condition of entry to these games and part of our COVID Event Plan that we are able to contact trace any patron who attends the games. Please enter correct details and be aware of who you are purchasing or giving tickets to.

What is the TIO Stadium COVID Event safety advice?

It's great to welcome fans back to TIO Stadium. We have collaborated with NT Health and NT Police to put in place measures to ensure events are as safe as possible.

To a certain degree, these measures will only work if everyone plays their part in keeping TIO Stadium COVIDSafe.

                                  We need you to:
