TIO NTFL Match Review Panel: Round 3

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 3 of the 2019/20 TIO NTFL season, and the following charge has been laid in the senior divisions:
 
Men’s Premier League
 
Joe Anderson, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 22 from the Waratah Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Darwin Buffaloes and Waratah at TIO Stadium on Saturday 19 October 2019.

Based on the umpire's report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.

In summary, Anderson can accept a one-match penalty as an early plea penalty.
 
The club/player via the club's tribunal advocate has until 9:00pm tonight (Tuesday) to accept the early plea or lodge an appeal to have the matter heard by an independent Tribunal.

The Tribunal will not sit after Joe Anderson of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club accepted a one-match penalty for striking.
