MRP Finals Week 2

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Finals Week 2 of the 2018/19 TIO NTFL season and the following charge has been laid in the senior divisions: 

Men’s Division 1

Charley Hall, of Nightcliff Football Club, has been charged with head-butting player number 17 of PINT Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Nightcliff and PINT at TIO Oval 2 on Saturday 2 March 2019.

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a three-match penalty.

In summary, Hall can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 

Other Incidents Assessed

The umpire’s report against Zach Westerberg, of Waratah Football Club for rough conduct in the first quarter of the Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and Waratah was dismissed by the MRP.
