What to do if the club you want to play for is full?
Unfortunately, some teams are at capacity and in order to give players the opportunity to have proper game time we have to cap numbers.

There are still some teams that are in need of players for the eight-week Mini Season.

All teams are being run by AFLNT as with any other Thunder Juniors competition but some teams training sessions are being held at NTFL club venues.

The following Thunder Junior teams are having training at NTFL clubs:

Crows/ Crows Yellow – St Mary’s FC
Eagles/Dockers – Tracy Village FC
Magpies – Banks FC
Power – Wanderers FC
Saints – Darwin Buffaloes FC

When does training take place?

Head to this page on the Thunder Juniors website, click on the Thunder Juniors team name you are registered with/interested in joining and all the details are there including location and times for training.

When and where do games take place?

Every Wednesday evening started Wednesday 24 October at 5:30pm.

Games are hosted at TIO Stadium and TIO Oval 2 in Marrara for Darwin based teams, and at Asbuild Oval for Palmerston/Rural based teams.

What happens next year with NTFL clubs?

Though some Thunder Juniors teams are having their training with NTFL clubs it is still a Thunder Junior season this year.

Next year we will be working closely with the NTFL to include an Under 10s Mixed and Under 13 Girls division in the regular NTFL season. This will be when NTFL clubs are able to enter teams under their own license and players will wear their NTFL club colours and be enrolled with their NTFL club.

This Mini Season is a good opportunity for some NTFL clubs to get familiar with how junior training and competition works.
