NTFL Match Review Panel: Round 6

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 6 of the 2017/18 TIO NTFL Season.
 
The following charges have been laid in the senior divisions:  
 
 
MEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE



Wesley Black, of Tiwi Bombers Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 18 of Southern Districts Football Club, at approximately half time of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and Tiwi Bombers at Norbuilt Oval on Saturday 11 November 2017.
 
Based on the umpire’s report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, low impact and high contact resulting in a one-match suspension.
 
In summary, Black can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.
 




Dionysuis Munkara, of Tiwi Bombers Football Club, has been charged with head-butting player number 16 of Southern Districts Football Club, at approximately half time of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and Tiwi Bombers at Norbuilt Oval on Saturday 11 November 2017.
 
Based on the umpire’s report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Munkara can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 




Sylvani Babui, of Tiwi Bombers Football Club, has been charged with kicking player number 4 of Southern Districts Football Club, during the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and Tiwi Bombers at Norbuilt Oval on Saturday 11 November 2017.
 
Based on the umpire’s report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and body contact resulting in a one-match suspension.
 
In summary, Babui can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.


 
Jason Puruntatameri, of Tiwi Bombers Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct on player number 27 of Southern Districts Football Club, at the end of the last quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Southern Districts and Tiwi Bombers at Norbuilt Oval on Saturday 11 November 2017.
 
Based on the umpire’s report and video evidence, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, medium impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Puruntatameri can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea. 




Gavin Dhurrkay, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct on player number 8 of Nightcliff Football Club, during the last quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Nightcliff and St Mary’s at PSC BM Oval on Saturday 11 November 2017.
 
Based on video evidence and a medical report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, medium impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Dhurrkay can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.

 




MEN’S DIVISION 1

Sean Brown, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct on player number 1 of Waratah Football Club, during the last quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Waratah and Darwin Buffaloes at Gardens Oval on Sunday 12 November 2017.
 
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, high impact and high contact and Brown has been referred directly to the Tribunal. 


 
Ronald Dean Williams, of Wanderers Football Club, has been charged with abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene behaviour towards or in relation to an umpire, during the last quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Palmerston Football Club and Wanderers at Asbuild Oval on Sunday 12 November 2017
 
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that Williams should be referred directly to the Tribunal.
 

James Williams, of PINT Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 1 of St Mary’s Football Club, during the last quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between PINT and St Mary’s at Marrara Cricket Ground on Sunday 12 November 2017.
 
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Williams can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea. 






Williams has also been charged with striking player number 1 of St Mary’s in a separate incident during the last quarter of the same game. 

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a three-match suspension. 





In summary, Williams can accept a two-match penalty for this incident as an early guilty plea.





Both sentences, if accepted will be served consecutively. 


 
MEN’S DIVISION 2
 
Wade Mills, of University Football Club, has been charged with not leaving the playing surface when directed to do so by an umpire, during the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Palmerston Magpies Football Club and University Football Club at Asbuild Oval Cricket Ground on Sunday 12 November 2017.
  
Based on the umpire’s report, Mills was issued with a one-match penalty but can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.
