FINALS START EARLY FOR WANDERERS AND PALMERSTON

TIO Stadium will play host to a virtual final this Saturday when Palmerston and Wanderers lock horns for the coveted final spot in the TIO NTFL top five.

In what is an elimination match between the two clubs locked on 32 points on the TIO NTFL Premier League ladder, both will be desperate for a win to ensure a finals berth.
Since their last meeting way back in Round 7 when the Magpies recorded a 54 point win, both sides have experienced almost identical form winning four of their past ten matches.
And as if a premature final wasn’t enough for footy fans on Saturday, another iconic Territory football award will more than likely be decided in the 5:35pm fixture.
In the game dubbed the ‘Dennis Dunn Decider’, modern rivals St Marys and the Tiwi Bombers will be playing for more than just the four points.
St Marys spearhead, Darren Ewing, and Tiwi revelation, Mathias Liddy, will both be looking to get their hands on the Dennis Dunn Trophy awarded to the league’s leading goal kicker.
Adding more theatre to an already dramatic script, Liddy, who trails Ewing on the goal- kicking leader board by just three goals, will be looking to give it his all against his former club.
