Tickets for Dees and Crows on sale now

Steven May in action for Melbourne

With just over seven weeks to go, AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) encourages fans to get their tickets to the big Toyota AFL Round 11 clash between Melbourne and the Adelaide Crows on Saturday 1 June at TIO Stadium (7:10pm).

Tickets went on sale last week through the NTix website and can also be purchased through the authorised outlets at the Darwin Entertainment Centre and Nightcliff Newsagency. If enough tickets remain then they will also be available for purchase on the night at the gate.

General admission adult tickets start from $25 with children aged six to 14 only $5 and those under five granted free entry (but still need a ticket for entry).

There are also plenty of corporate hospitality packages available.

See bottom for full list of ticket prices and packages.

After a sell-out match between the two teams in 2017, Melbourne returns to the Top End to host the Crows. Territory boy, Steven May is expected to don the Melbourne guernsey for the first time in the NT when he comes up against Adelaide star forward Taylor Walker and fan-favourite Eddie Betts.

2019 also marks the 13th year the AFL has celebrated the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture with a special theme round.

It is the fourth year that the occasion has been marked in honour of Sir Doug Nicholls and in a special treat for local fans, the AFL declared that this year’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round, which falls during the game in Darwin, will also pay tribute to one of the Territory's favourite sons, Michael Long.
See here for the announcement made in March

Special events to celebrate Long and the great Indigenous contribution to the game of Australian Football will be held as part of the Melbourne vs Adelaide Crows game.

This year will also be Melbourne’s tenth consecutive year of playing home games in the NT, with AFLNT CEO Stuart Totham thanking the Northern Territory Government (NTG) for their ongoing commitment to bringing the elite sport to the Territory.

“It’s with thanks to the NTG and the AFL that we get another quality footy game in Darwin for the fans.

“Melbourne has had a strong presence in the region over the years, supporting several Northern Territory-based initiatives, such as the education of Indigenous eye health and Trachoma disease, as well as the excellent work they do through the Next Generation Academy.

“The NT is blessed with football-loving people, and if the game between the Dees and Crows in 2017 is anything to go by then this is going to be a sell-out, so we strongly encourage everyone to get their tickets early and to join us for a very special occasion of football, history and culture,” he said.

Round 9 NEAFL action will be the curtain raiser to the AFL game with NT Thunder taking on Redland at 3:30pm. Entry to this game requires a valid AFL-game ticket, and NT Thunder members will be contacted shortly about their rights to the NEAFL/AFL game in accordance with their membership category.
