Revamped school holiday programs ready for Darwin youngsters

School Holiday program

The 2018 mid-year school holidays sees the AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) Holiday Programs revamped, with the introduction of split age groups and the addition of fun new activities.

At TIO Stadium there is now a one or two day school holiday program for Darwin youngsters to enjoy.

The two day program caters for those aged 9-12 and is from 9am-3pm on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 July. This exciting new program includes a session with the Marrara Gymnastics Association, an amazing race plus fun team building games.

The one day program is from 9am-2.30pm on Thursday 12 July and is tailored to the 5-8 year olds. Previous participants will be kept active and engaged all day long with the addition of new games like maze runner and newspaper race, capture the footy and head pop.

AFLNT Manager of Club and Game Development, Emily Wastle encourages everyone to sign their youngsters up these school holidays.

“We’ve had a lot of fun revamping the holiday programs and can’t wait for the kids to give it a go.

“Holiday programs are a great way for kids to brush up on their footy skills and have fun with other school children during the break,” Wastle said.

All AFLNT Holiday Programs are delivered by Level 1 accredited coaches for ages 5-12.
