Team line-ups have been finalised for the inaugural Central Australia Redtails vs Top End Storm game in Alice Springs on Sunday which will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Toyota AFL Premiership game between Melbourne and the Adelaide Crows.
Redtails coach Matt Campbell said the teams have come together in Alice Springs and players have bonded quickly.
“The lads are really enjoying the comradery and good feeling and excitement about the upcoming game. We are doing various community activations around town in the lead up, such as the McLeod – Whelan Cup and it’s fantastic to be out and about in the region.”
Top End Storm coach Austin Wonaeamerri coach said the talent in the teams was impressive.
“We’ve certainly got some exciting talent in our team with players from places like Wadeye, Gove, Elcho Island, Katherine and of course the Tiwi Islands” he said.
“It will be exciting to watch it all come together on Sunday.”
