NTFL Match Review Panel: Round 14

The following charges have been laid in the senior divisions:

MEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE

Brock Orval, of Waratah Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 38 of St Mary’s Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Waratah and St Mary’s at TIO Stadium on Saturday 20th January 2018.

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact and result in a two-match suspension.



Due to the player’s poor record in the last two years, the penalty was increased to a three-match suspension.

In summary, Orval can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 

MEN'S DIVISION 1

Kieran Nicholls, of Waratah Football Club, has been charged with kicking player number 64 of the Tracy Village Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Waratah and Tracy Village at TIO Stadium on Saturday 20th January 2018.

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and contact to the body and result in a one-match suspension.


 

In summary, Nicholls can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.
 

Nathan Roberts, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 34 of the Palmerston Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Palmerston and Darwin Buffaloes at Asbuild Oval on Saturday 20th January 2018. 

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact and result in a two-match suspension.




In summary, Roberts can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 

Nathan Hoult, of St Mary’s Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 30 of the Banks Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Banks and St Mary’s at Gardens Oval on Sunday 21st January 2018. 

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact and result in a two-match suspension.




In summary, Hoult can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 

OTHER INCIDENTS ASSESSED



The umpire report against Lucas Munnich, of Palmerston Magpies Football Club for striking, has been dismissed by the Match Review Panel based on video evidence. 

TRIBUNAL


At this stage, Tribunal is set to sit on Wednesday 24th January from 6pm to hear the Round 12 rough conduct charge against Pierce Liddle from Southern Districts.
