Northern Territory AFLW players and NT Thunder faithful, Angela Foley and Jasmyn Hewett have re-committed to the Adelaide Crows for the 2019 AFLW season.

Joining them is former NT-product Stevie-Lee Thompson, along with All-Australian captain Chelsea Randall and inaugural AFLW Best and Fairest Erin Phillips.

Randall, who has been a star recruit for NT Thunder in the VFL W this season, is joined by dual-sport athlete Jenna McCormick, midfielder Justine Mules, ruck Rhiannon Metcalfe, defenders Dayna Cox and Marijana Rajcic and inaugural AFLW Rising Star Ebony Marinoff.

Crows General Manager of Football Administration Phil Harper said he was delighted to see the group continue their careers at the Crows.
“We’re thrilled to see our top talent eager to re-commit and build on what we have achieved in the first two seasons,” he said.

Foley, who has played 14 games for the Crows in the first two years of the AFLW, including the 2017 Premiership said she was excited to extend her Crows career.

“I love being part of the Crows and thoroughly enjoy the team and the environment I get to be part of.

“From Adelaide to Darwin and in between we always feel well supported and that fills us with the confidence and desire to achieve great things,” she said.

The AFLW sign and trade period runs until Monday, June 4, with clubs able to sign up to 23 players by this deadline.

The Crows have signed a total of 11 players with more to be announced on Monday.

Currently, AFLW clubs can only contract players on a season-by-season basis.

The League is yet to determine the format of next year’s competition which will be extended to 10 teams with the inclusion of Geelong and North Melbourne.
