TIO NTFL MATCH REVIEW PANEL ROUND 16

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 16 of the 2016/17 TIO NTFL Season.

The following charges have been laid:   

MEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE

Patrick Taban, Nightcliff Football Club, has been charged with striking during the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Premier League match between Nightcliff Football Club and St Mary's Football Club at TIO Stadium on Friday 3rd February 2017.
 
Based on umpire report and video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Taban can accept a one-match suspension as an early guilty plea.
 
Raphael Clarke, St Mary's Football Club, has been charged with headbutting/contact using head during the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Premier League match between Nightcliff Football Club and St Mary's Football Club at TIO Stadium on Friday 3rd February 2017.
 
Based on video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Clarke can accept a one-match suspension as an early guilty plea.
 
Justin Robinson, St Mary's Football Club, has been charged with charging, during the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Premier League match between Nightcliff Football Club and St Mary's Football Club at TIO Stadium on Saturday 3rd February 2017.
 
Based on umpire report and video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, low impact and high contact resulting in a one-match suspension.
 
In summary, Robinson can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.

MEN'S DIVISION ONE

Billy Lovel, PINT Football Club, has been charged with striking during the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Division One match between PINT Football Club and Waratah Football Club at Marrara Cricket Ground on Sunday 5th February 2017.
 
Based on umpire report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Lovel can accept a one-match suspension as an early guilty plea. 
 
Joshua Veness, Waratah Football Club, has been charged with striking during the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Division One match between PINT Football Club and Waratah Football Club at Marrara Cricket Ground on Sunday 5th February 2017.
 
Based on umpire report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact resulting in a two-match suspension.
 
In summary, Veness can accept a one-match suspension as an early guilty plea. 

MEN'S DIVISION TWO

Scott Brennan, PINT Football Club, has been charged with striking during the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Division Two match between Nightcliff Football Club and PINT Football Club at Marrara Cricket Ground on Sunday 5th February 2017.
 
Based on umpire report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, medium impact and high contact resulting in a three-match suspension.
 
In summary, Brennan can accept a two-match suspension as an early guilty plea.
