Thunder Juniors to follow in the footsteps of Adelaide Crows women

Thunder Juniors girls pose in their new Crows uniform

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) is excited to announce girls only teams to participate in the Kennards Hire Thunder Juniors program for 2017.

The Thunder Juniors program is designed to be great fun for all abilities for those who have played AFL before, and those who are new to the game.

2017 is the first time the girls will be playing in Crows colours following the success of the Adelaide Crows Women’s team who won the inaugural AFL Women’s Premiership in March with nine NT players in the squad.

Thunder Juniors is safe and inclusive with modified rules and girls teams in the Under 10’s and Under 12’s age bracket in 2017.

Games are held under lights every Friday night at TIO Stadium or Asbuild Oval and volunteer coaches and team managers are encouraged to apply.

The 10 week program starts this week but it’s not too late to join up.
