NT Under 18s travel to Sydney to play GWS Giants Academy

The AFLNT State Academy Under 18s team to play the GWS Giants Academy this Saturday has been named ahead of the clash at Blacktown International Sportspark in Sydney.

The team fly out today from Darwin Airport to Sydney for their second last game in the 2017 Under 18 Academy Series.

Tall timber Tony Olango comes back into the side after a long knee injury lay-off and playing for NT Thunder in the NEAFL last weekend, along with Zac Bailey, Domonic Grant and Mackenzie Lawrence.

Coach Jimmy Driscoll said, “We get real leadership with Zac coming into the side after his school commitments in Adelaide and we are also really excited to have Mackenzie back from playing for Subiaco in the WAFL”.

“We play GWS who will be a tough match up, they defeated Tasmania last game so they’ll be full of confidence this week,” he said.

“We are process driven at the moment so if we stick to our game plan and structures more consistently and continue to provide intensity around the footy the results will take care of themselves.”
