TIO NTFL MATCH REVIEW PANEL - RD 4

FULL STATEMENT: 2016/17 TIO NTFL SEASON

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 4 of the 2016/17 TIO NTFL Season.
 
The following charges have been laid:   

MEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE
 
Justin Beugelaar, Waratah Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct during the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Palmerston and Waratah at TIO Stadium on Saturday 29 October 2016.
 
Based on the umpire’s report and video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, high impact and high contact, resulting in a three-match penalty.
 
In summary, Beugelaar can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 
Pierce Liddle, Palmerston Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct during the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Palmerston and Waratah at TIO Stadium on Saturday 29 October 2016.
 
Based on the video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, low impact and high contact, resulting in a one-match penalty.
 
In summary, Liddle can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.
 
Brenton Motlop, Wanderers Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct during the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Nightcliff and Wanderers at PSC BM Oval on Sunday 30 October 2016.
 
Based on the umpire’s report and video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, Motlop can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 
Mitchell Taylor, Wanderers Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct during the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Nightcliff and Wanderers at PSC BM Oval on Sunday 30 October 2016.
 
Based on the video evidence available, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, Taylor can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.  
 
MEN’S DIVISION TWO
 
Shannon Muller, Tracy Village Football Club, has been charged with striking during the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division Two match between Tracy Village and Banks at TIO Oval 2  on Saturday 29 October 2016.
 
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a three-match penalty.
 
In summary, Muller can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
