THE TERRITORY'S LAUREN O'SHEA - THE FIRST CROWS FREE AGENT

THE AFLNT in conjunction with the Adelaide Football Club is proud to announce that Northern-Territory based Lauren O'Shea has signed with the Crows for the 2017 AFL Women's season.

A talented sportswoman, O’Shea has spent many years competing in netball, basketball, rowing and running, and only took up football for the first time when she moved to Darwin from Victoria in 2012.
The key defender and ruck is a four time premiership player with Waratah Football Club.
She has signed as a ‘free agent’ which provides an opportunity for those athletes who were not picked up in the Draft to be selected.
Crows Senior Coach Bec Goddard said the Club was thrilled to have the commitment of O’Shea for the inaugural AFL Women’s season.
“Lauren is an extremely versatile player and a great decision maker who always has a team first attitude,” Goddard said.
“She’s a great talent so we’re thrilled to have her join the team.”
The Crows on Wednesday drafted 18 players in the historic AFL Women’s Draft, adding to the six players already signed. The Club will select a further two free agents prior to October 31 to finalise its inaugural list of 27.
