NAAFLS LEADERSHIP CAMP

NAAFLS LEADERSHIP CAMP

The North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service (NAAFLS) Coaching Leadership Camp is occurring in Darwin this week.

The camp sees five community leaders from across the Territory spend the week at the Michael Long Learning & Leadership Centre to develop their football coaching and leadership. Each leader is undertaking their Level Two Coaching Accreditation that will see them qualified to coach senior football in their respective communities.
The group also attended an education session during the week at NAAFLS headquarters discussing domestic violence and integrity.
NAAFLS Chief Executive Officer Tony Lane said the NAAFLS Coaching Leadership Camp provides Indigenous men with an opportunity to engage with high performance staff from AFLNT.
“It is great to work with AFLNT to deliver this program that aims to develop leaders in communities such as Maningrida and Elcho Island,” Lane said.
