MCDONALD’S AFL9s FUN RETURNS

MCDONALD’S AFL9s FUN RETURNS

After a successful competition won by Nightcliff in May, McDonald’s AFL9s returns to Darwin this Monday 29 August.

Calling all guys and girls who want to have a bit of fun with friends, while keeping fit on a Monday night.
The competition will run at TIO Stadium from 7pm to 8pm every Monday until 31 October and registrations for new teams remain open until Monday 5 September.
AFL9s is a non-contact, basic-rules social game which is great for people of all sporting abilities.
Rather than tackling an opposition player for the ball, the aim is to chase them down and attempt to ‘touch’ them.
A full game takes no longer than 40 minutes and guarantees a solid cardio workout.
AFLNT Manager of Club and Game Development, Jennifer Le Quesne said AFL9s is the perfect social sport to play in the lead-up to the NTFL season.
"AFL9s is a really easy game to learn and ideal for those new to the game, and those who have played AFL before”
“It is a great, fun way to keep fit with your friends,” Le Quesne said.
AFL9s is the official social version of AFL football, which is growing in popularity right around the country.
Games in the NT are played with six a-side and with a rotating bench so everyone can have a go.
