AFLNT ACKNOWLEDGES POSITIVE BUDGET REPLY FROM TERRITORY LABOR

AFLNT CEO Michael Solomon said today’s budget reply from Territory Labor is positive news for football in the Top End, particularly the support pledged for the installation of lights at Gardens Oval and Nightcliff Oval.

AFLNT CEO Michael Solomon said today’s budget reply from Territory Labor is positive news for football in the Top End, particularly the support pledged for the installation of lights at Gardens Oval and Nightcliff Oval.
Solomon said the commitments announced over the past few days demonstrate that both political parties are committed to investing in female participation, junior development and the enhancement of remote sporting facilities and upgrades to stadiums.
“As the peak body for AFL football in the NT, we are certainly pleased with the bipartisan support for a number of carefully planned programs and projects as it clearly demonstrates both sides of Government remain committed to growing AFL football in the NT.
“Ongoing investment will ensure that the standard of football facilities and stadia in the NT continues to meet the growing demand from our valued participants; the men and women plus our growing junior sector as well as our spectators and volunteers,” Solomon said.
