AFL Club Umpire Program
The Australian Football League considers the role and performance of club umpires as important contributors to the presentation and conduct of the game at many levels across Australia.
The performance of club umpires contributes to the enjoyment of players on the day, and often, more broadly the retention of people in Australian Football.
This AFL Club Umpire Program is designed to enable people across the football community to gain knowledge and skills in umpiring and to have their competence in the role on match day confirmed.

Once accredited, the NTFL club field umpires will be:
- paid 50% of the current NTFLUA rates (on monthly invoice)
- given a FREE "Basic Umpires Kit" which contains a whistle, cap, wristbands, water-bottle, drawstring bag, new umpire AFL a Basic Guide DVD, 2013 Laws DVD and Law Book.
- Clubs will also be given 2 extra volunteer NTFL passes for the season to be used for their "club field umpires"
- AFLNT Club Volunteer Umpire purple shirts will be handed out to those clubs who don’t have any from last season or require more.

The course is free and takes around 30 minutes to complete online. The course is free and takes around 30 minutes to complete online. Applicants can then print out their "AFL certificate of completion" with their name on it like the attachment above and bring it to the "Club Field Umpires Visit" on the 7th of October for the practical/laws DVD session with me.
5.45pm start at TIO No 2 Oval. This will be the practical session first followed by the 2013 Laws DVD and we should be finish around 7.15pm. PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE A MINMIUM OF 2 PEOPLE over the age of 16 years from your club in attendance please.
