Crocs 25 year Celebrations - Feb 2nd, 2013

The Southern Districts Football Club will be holding a Red, Black & White Gala Ball on February the 2nd 2013. . This night is to celebrate the clubs 25 years of the club at the top level of the Northern Territory Football League.

The SDFC was formed in the early 80's. In 1981 it entered the Northern Territory Football League with one junior grade and a 'C' grade mens side. The club gradually entered more grades until it entered a side into the 'A' Grade in the 1987/88 season
The club has produced many quality players at AFL level. The club is probably most notable for producing the Collingwood Football Club great Nathan Buckley and in the past it has also produced players such as Gilbert McAdam, Adrian McAdam, Michael O'Loughlin, Aaron Shattock, Fabian Francis, Shannon Rusca, Steven Koops and Shawn Lewfatt. More recently it has produced Anthony Corrie, Richard Tambling, Jared Brennan, Malcolm Lynch and Troy Taylor. Steven May is the most recently recruited player from the club to the AFL by the Gold Coast Football Club in 2010.
Other great players who have for the club over the years include Allen Jakovich, Robbie Ah Matt, Brisbane Lions Premiership players Chris Johnson & Des Headland and Brisbane Lions Premiership Player Darryl White who played in the SDFC 2006/07 Premiership side.
Come along to the night and meet many of the past and present champions of the club. Hosted by the NT’s own Sports Guru Me Charlie King and proudly announcing as guest speaker former SDFC player and 300 AFL game Sydney Swans premiership Player Michael O'Loughlin.
Many other highlights and guests at the Ball with live band entertainment. Commencing at 6:30pm Pre Ball Drinks in the foyer followed by a Sumptuous Three Course Dinner (Beer, Wine & Softdrink included), Club testimonials, Interviews with SDFC greats from the past and the announcing of the ‘TEAM OF THE QUARTER CENTURY’.
