The AFL wishes to advise former AFL Indigenous players Andrew McLeod, Chris Johnson, Michael O'Loughlin, Daryl White, Peter Burgoyne and Ronnie Burns will spend this week in the Northern Territory visiting primary schools and high schools in communities in and surrounding Alice Springs, Wadeye, Groote Eylandt, Maningrida and Darwin this week.
Learn, Earn, Legend Tour has been coordinated by the AFL in conjunction with the Northern Territory Government, local government and the AFLNT.
The tour will deliver key messages in the communities around education, health and employment.
AFL National Community Engagement Manager, Jason Mifsud said that the AFL have a have had a long standing relationship with the people of the Northern Territory we will continue to provide opportunities for local communities to engage with their AFL heroes.
"We know that AFL Indigenous players are important role models for Indigenous communities and this tour again demonstrates the leadership qualities of our players and also highlights our commitment to the Indigenous communities of the NT," Mr Mifsud said.
The tour will commence on Monday February 28 in Alice Springs, all the former players will be in present. Media is invited to attend and details are as follows:
