ILETT WINS SECOND CLUB CHAMPION AWARD

Thunder’s 2010 Presentation Night took place at the Holiday Inn, The Esplanade last night seeing Cameron Ilett secure his second consecutive Club Champion title.

The night began with Thunder junior awards from the U15 Long Medal going to Jarrod Stokes right through to the McCasker Medal being awarded to Shannon Rioli.

The senior awards began with Di & Jeff Borella being awarded the St John Ambulance Club Person of the Year for their dedication and hard work to the Club behind the scenes. The clubs skipper Jarred Ilett once again took out the NT Government Most Professional Award while Centralian Matthew Rosier was named the Doug Yuen Elders Insurance Most Courageous Player.
Amongst other awards the night was capped off with the Club Champion award where 2010 recruit Brett Goodes made a late charge to secure Runner Up with 179.
Following yet another stellar year with Thunder, Cameron Ilett capped off a year that included highlights of state representation and the QAFL Syd Guilford Trophy taking out his second consecutive Club Champion award on 211 votes.

Club Champion votes were awarded each game on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis by each member of the NTFC match committee. The maximum votes that can be awarded to a player for any given game is 25 votes.

For the Players Player award votes are allocated after each Round, the 22 players involved in the game voted their best players on a 3-2-1 basis. The maximum votes for any one player for a game is 66.
